For more than three decades, Mukesh Advani, the founder of The Advani Law Firm, has helped individuals and businesses use  practical and business solutions to resolving disputes. This approach has resulted in saving his clients substantial amount of money and allowed them to focus on their core business. Not all disputes resolve early and some need to go through litigation in the court system. For those disputes, Mukesh is also a highly skilled litigation and appellate lawyer who has represented business, both small and large (including Fortune 500 Companies) and individual clients in civil litigation matters, including in some landmark cases that were decided by the California Supreme Court.

During the course of his career, Mukesh has practiced with different law firms.  Most recently, he was Of Counsel to Dental & Medical Counsel. Before then. Mukesh was Special Counsel to Guy Kornblum & Associates in San Francisco.  Mukesh was also a partner with a San Francisco based law firm of Kelly, Herlihy, Advani and Klein with offices in Northern and Southern California, a firm Mukesh co-founded in February 1998.  From 1990 to 1998, Mukesh managed the successful growth of his own firm to eight attorneys with offices in Northern and Southern California.  From 1985 to 1990, Mukesh was an associate with the law firm of Kornblum, Kelly & Herlihy.

For the last 30 years, Mukesh has been continuously rated A.V. (very high (legal ability) to preeminent) by Martindale-Hubbell and included in its Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.  Mukesh is also included in the 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 edition of the Northern California Super Lawyers.  Mukesh has published articles, authored white papers and taught continuing legal education classes on cutting edge legal issues, including appellate law, employment law, The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, privacy laws and regulations, corporate ethics, law practice management Issues at many prestigious forums, including at the American Bar Association’s annual convention and at the annual convention of National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.

Mukesh has also served in many leadership positions.  Mukesh is the founder and past president of the original South Asian Bar Association (“SABA”) in San Francisco which was the inspiration for formation of dozens of SABA chapters across North America with thousands of members. Mukesh has also served as a member of the California Committee of Bar Examiners, the Ethnic Minority Relations Committee of the State Bar of California and the executive committee of the International Law Section of the State Bar of California.  Mukesh has  received several awards, including, Minority Bar Coalition’s Award for Outstanding Service to Community, SABA’s 20th Anniversary Award, and the Indo-American Community Federation’s Leadership Award. Mukesh started award winning free legal clinics at the India Community Center in Milpitas, California, which are open to general public.

Mukesh is a member of the State Bar of California, Contra Costa County Bar Association, Asian American Bar Association and South Asian Bar Association.  Mukesh is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States District Courts for Northern, Southern, Eastern and Central Districts of California.  Mukesh is a member of Robert G. McGrath Inn of Court.  Mukesh has served as a Board Member and President of the Employment Law Section of the Contra Costa County Bar Association.  Mukesh is also admitted to practice law in his native India.
